A very fresh and versatile side dish which can be used as a delightful dip with tortilla chips or as an accompaniment to any fish and meat dishes. Super simple and quick to make. Choose between the red, yellow or green chilli mash to make the salsa to your preferred heat level.
- 1 large tomato
- 1/2 red onion
- 1 clove of grated garlic
- 1 tbsp of chilli mash (green mash for gentle heat, yellow mash for mellow heat and red mash for a punch)
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- A small handful of fresh coriander
Step 1 – Finely chop the tomato and red onion and place in a bowl. Roughly chop the coriander and add, with the grated garlic and a heaped teaspoon of preferred mash and mix to combine.
Step 2 – Pour over lime juice and mix.
Step 3 – Place in a serving bowl and top with a few whole coriander leaves.
