Chicken Wings
Spicy wings have always been a favourite amongst many. They cannot be beaten as an easy sharing food for a film night with friends. Hatari Hot Sauce is the perfect flavour to compliment the natural oiliness of the chicken skins, paired with honey and spices to make these hot wings addictive (I recommend doubling the recipe as they are seriously hard to stop snaffling!).
Serves 4, marinade made in 5 minutes and cooks in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1kg chicken wings
- 75g plain flour
- 2 tablespoons of Hatari Hot Sauce
- 4 tbsp runny honey
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Method
Step 1 – First, start with making the marinade. In a med-sized bowl, add 3 Tbsp. of Hatari Hot Sauce, honey and crushed garlic, as well as adding all the spices.
Step 2 – Put the chicken wings into the med-sized bowl and start rubbing in the flour on to the wings. Once coated in flour start coating all the chicken wings with the entire amount of marinade. Now Cover the wings and put them into the refrigerator. Preferably marinate your chicken wings overnight, if you don’t have time a half an hour is enough to get the flavours going.
Step 3 – Now line the baking sheet with aluminum foil on it. Place the chicken wings on the baking sheet.
Step 4 – Put the baking sheet in a 200 degree Celsius oven for about 25-30 minutes. When finished cooking place chicken wings onto the serving plate and sprinkle some chives or green onions on top.
